Playing Like Fierce Dinosaurs.

Earlier I've been blogging about the Toronto Raptors as being worst and underachieving team in the NBA. I ranted about their horrible defense and "soft" demeanor on the basketball court. I also stressed that they are a team that is extremely talented on paper with many significant players but, they were under 500 in the beginning of the season. Mostly, I was frustrated with Jose Calderon and Andrea Bargnani for their HORRENDOUS defense. Gradually, the Raptors started winning more games especially against significant teams (Spurs, Mavericks, Orlando, Lakers) and began playing better defensively. Chris Bosh was the usual double-double beast, Andrea Bargnani started playing consistently and began rebounding and blocking shots, the Raptors bench stepped up, and Jose Calderon and Jarred Jack's PG duo was killing teams. I especially was happy that the Raptors beat the Lakers because I HATE that NBA team and Kobe Bryant. I was in a bet w/ my dad and won $100 ! The Raptors great play has made the 5th place team in the Eastern Conference and is 2 games about 500. Hopefully the Raptors will maintain this success or perhaps excel further.

Kobe,YOU GOT BEAT ! GO RAPTORS !

I DID watch the the bed bugs bite.

WOW it has been so long since I blogged. I just couldn't find the time because of school. Dam you school and homework. Anyways recently I discovered that my house was invested or should I say invaded by fruit flies. They all gathered around every light bulb in my house and settled in the soil of my moms plants. URGH it was nasty! They were literally everywhere in my house. Bugs were on the walls, bathrooms, my room, my brothers room, on the floor, etc. So my first solution was to kill them all individually. The fruit flies were slow and didn't fly far. I was able to kill at least over 100 by hand. I used by handy dandy slippers and fly swapper. I had a great killing streak going on lol. But then I noticed that flies kept coming back endlessly. I did research and found out that fruit flies multiplied in a rapid rate of 500+ eggs per birth (WTF ?!?!). I also did research by searching ways of killing flies and found a solution using house hold products, but that didn't do much. So we called a family friend and she recommended us buying an insecticide. So my mom bought C.I.L Insect Killer and sprayed it all on her plants. Instantly I saw MANY flies dieing on the spot. MUAHAHAHAHAHA. The image was like World War One's no mans land. So gradually the flies started to subside and continue you decrease in quantity. Slowly they shall die, MUAHAHAHA lol.

One Step at a Time.

Monday marked the start of second semester of university and I was not pleased to go back. I mean, I had an exam waiting for me that week. Having 1 month off from Christmas holidays, I was still in a holiday mode. However, I looked at the positives of me being back to school and it was able to neutralize my uncooperative attitude. One, I was being educated. Two, I only have 3.5 months of school till summer. Three, my summer would be 4 months off (thank GOD). Four, I would graduate. Five, if I got through first semester, I can surely do it again. I was already behind in homework with the start of second semester. This week, I was stacked with a tsunami of readings ! But gradually, thanks to my time management skills, I was able to catch up on homework for every single class so far. Although this weekend would be filled with readings (Anthropology and Psychology to be exact), it could have been worse if i didn't manage my time. What keeps me motivated is that every time I finish required readings or assignments, that stack of homework slowly decreases in size. Before I know it, summer vacation will arrive. I have to tackle school one step at a time.
